What can I say.. we enjoyed this unreal, glowing, colorful world of Gaudi! So different from anything we've seen before. I love how our guide Gabriela described stories from Gaudi's life. She also told us the story behind the park creation. La Sagrada Familia with its walls, facade, colors... and the park is like entering a different world! Definitely a tour that is worth booking!
Exploring park Güell felt like an art gallery in the middle of nature. There is something really calming in its design and its bright colors. Sagrada is even more impressive than we expected. Honestly, before visiting I thought it was a bit ugly, but boy I was wrong!! With a guide and bus transportation, everything went smoothly and without a hitch. Definitely recommend!

VISITING PARK GÜELL
With priority access to the property of this surreal park, you will understand what it means to have a carefree tour. Your guide will confidently lead you through the park while teaching you its history and showing you its distinctive features. Park Güell was named after Gaudí’s big fan and patron, entrepreneur Eusebi Güell. Güell and Gaudí decided that the park would be designed as if it were a fairy tale setting. You will notice distinct columns in various shapes, from animals and tree trunks to geometric shapes. Most of these elements are decorated with colorful ceramic mosaic pieces.
THE FAMOUS FACADES OF SAGRADA FAMÍLIA
Before entering Sagrada Família's interior, you will see the famous facades that decorate the towers outside. The most famous facade, and the one with the most influence from Antoni Gaudí, is the Nativity Facade. This facade contains the most detail as it depicts the birth of Jesus Christ. The Passion Facade, facing westward, depicts Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection. The Glory Facade is the final one facing south and the only one still unfinished. The Glory Facade depicts Jesus Christ’s glory and ascension to heaven. Your guide will tell you about the famous Sagrada Família exterior in more detail, so do not hesitate to ask them additional questions.
INSIDE THE SAGRADA FAMÍLIA
Skipping the line and avoiding long queues are also implied when entering the Sagrada Família. First, you will see the huge columns stretching all the way to the high ceiling. At the top, these columns branch out and feel like stepping into a forest. Also, the stained glass windows let through vibrant colors that fall on the basilica's interior, giving it a magical feeling. Follow your guide through this unbelievably unique building and learn about the history of the Sagrada Família and Antoni Gaudí’s life. You will also visit the crypt in the basilica's basement, where you can see the spot where Antoni Gaudí was buried.
Interesting facts about the Sagrada Família
- The Sagrada Família has been under construction since 1882 and remains unfinished. This is largely because it relies entirely on visitor contributions and public donations for funding.
- While the basilica is Gaudí’s ultimate masterpiece, he wasn’t the first architect on the project. It initially began under Francisco de Paula del Villar, with a very different design than Gaudí’s vision.
- Today, both the Nativity Facade and the Crypt are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
