Amazing experience and a very beautiful park!

Our group was small and it was easy to hear the guide and ask questions. Pablo was amazing! His humor kept us engaged all the time. He gave us many fascinating details about Gaudí’s designs, the most memorable of which, for me, was the Serpentine Bench. I loved the vibrant mosaics and the stunning views of the city from the main terrace. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Barcelona!

A great way to explore Park Güell!

This small group tour was fantastic! Our guide took us through the Monumental Zone, and we got to see Gaudí’s famous trencadís mosaics up close. I loved hearing about the symbolism behind the park’s design. The main terrace, with its colorful mosaics, was breathtaking! Being in a small group allowed us to take our time at each spot - which is 100% worth it for Gaudí if you ask me. It was a perfect balance of learning and sightseeing!

Interesting facts about Park Güell

  • Antoni Gaudí lived in one of the houses in the park before his death. He lived there from 1906 until 1925, when he moved closer to the Sagrada Família, where he spent the final months of his life.
  • The Hypostyle Hall was originally intended as a marketplace for the residents of Park Güell, although it was never used for this purpose. It drew inspiration from Roman temples with the 86 Doric columns decorating the hall.
  • The Austrian Gardens were originally planned to be residential plots. However, after the residential development project was abandoned in 1914, no houses were built here. The Austrian Government donated trees to be planted in that area, giving it its current name.
